Why is organic food so expensive?

It is certain that when you ask any fan of organic food they will assure you that they eat healthier. But who can answer the question why organic food is more expensive than conventional food?

“I would say non-organic food is too cheap. Let food be your first medicine. So why pay more for your medicines than for your food?” says H.J. van Vliet who owns LekkereTrek.

“I grow my own vegetables, I have got my own garden. It takes me a lot of time to grow them. It takes more time, and time is money,” explains another owner of a drive-through organic food truck.

Dr. Fareeba Sheedfar, researcher in medicine, nutrition, and dietetics urges people to eat organic food because of the health benefits. Watch my whole interview with her:
